Anyone can test their swimming pool bleach concentration without high cost.We test our neighbors' and community swimming pools through innovative method which does not require any FEE.
Collect a sample that actually represents your water, then check whether the bleach used to disinfect it is strong enough — and not too strong. Both lessons are free, printable, and written for people who have never held a test strip.
Why these two skills
A bad sample and a wrong bleach dose fail the same way: quietly.
A sample taken from a dirty tap, carried warm in a car for a day, or poured into a rinsed soda bottle will give a result that has nothing to do with the water people drink. The lab does its job perfectly and still tells you the wrong thing.
Bleach works the same way. Too little free chlorine and bacteria survive; too much and the water tastes like a swimming pool and irritates skin and eyes. The safe window is narrow enough that guessing is not a strategy — but it is easy to hit once you know how to read a strip or a comparator.
